  1. Glad Android finally got the iOS update. Couple of things.

First…the new app doesn’t feel fluid. Things don’t move or transition smoothly. The animation for scrolling and changing screens has a serious stutter. I realize this is 1.0 of this realize and that updates will be coming, but it’s fairly painful to scroll through things.

Second, I would love to see the ability to turn smart apps on and off. I realize I can uninstall a smart app, but what I am looking for is a temporary switch for certain things. My smart apps are applicable 99% of the time, but on the off chance that I am not following my routine, having my office lights turn off after five minutes is no good. I could really use a simple toggle on/off.

Finally, this is Android. Give me widgets! Give me light switch widgets, toggle on/off widgets, presence widgets. This would be amazing.

Looking good for a first release. Can’t wait to see future features / improvements!

    • I think the stutter on animations is device dependent. I have an HTC One and they seem pretty nice.

I want the ability to pause some apps (regardless of mobile device). That would be great. Not yet in the works but have been thinking about how to accomplish.

Agreed that Widgets will be awesome but they are actually quite difficult to implement for some stuff – including SmartThings. That doesn’t mean we aren’t doing them but I offer it as an explanation as to why we haven;t tacked it yet.
